Because it's not Halloween anymore...

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 14, 2009, 7:46 AM
I've decided that it was necessary to post a new journal, and for two reasons:
1.) We've passed the holiday, and the previous journal was beginning to annoy me because of it.
2.) I need some inspiration.
I've been working on probably the most difficult piece I've ever done, and it's not nearly finished. I want something to work on when I need a break from it, so I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas.
If you think of anything you'd like me to draw, let me know and I'll do my best to produce it. ^___^ You can leave specifics if you like, not sure I'll meet your expectations but feel free to request it.
Have a stellar day :P

and have a chocolate blood war.

So here's what I did today, and why everyone should do it too:

Today started off as a usual day, eventful (kind of upsetting, but y'know how it is) but overall very usual. I had made plans to hang with my best mate Kat, and we roamed a bit. We didn't know what to do, so we were wasting time.
Then, all of a sudden, she remembered a time when one of her pals was bored and decided to make fake blood. We were then compelled to do the same.
It was amazing.

Here's what you'll need:

Blood:
Chocolate syrup
Water
Red Food Dye
Flower
Spoon/fork/whisk (personal preference)

Uniform:
Anything white and eager to be stained red.

What you do:
Make up a batch of chocolate blood. The quantities of each vary depending on the effect you're looking for, and the consistency you want. Start off with a simple mix of water, chocolate syrup, and red dye. use about 1 cup water to 2 tablespoons syrup and go from there. If it's too thin, you've got two options: add more syrup, or add flower. If it's the shade of red you like, add the flower. if it doesn't matter yet, add the syrup.
A benefit of this recipe is that it doesn't taste too bad, so it's all the more fun.

So!
Once the blood is all made up, take a big ol' bowl of it outside (inside is a bit risky, seeing as how this stuff stains and won't come out ever).
The technique Kat and I employed was a simple dip-hand-in-bowl-and-fling method. Cover yourself in it! There's so many options for your horror inspired look. Give yourself some bloody handprints, or just a classic blood spatter (my favored of the two). In the end, you've got a rockin' new wardrobe (perfect for Halloween) and have had a killer *snicker* time doing it.
One of the best things I've done in a long time. Or ever.

So DO IT!

I'll be posting pictures of my battle shirt, and we attacked a few pieces of sketch paper (a 'Dexter' season 2 moment), so I'll be posting those too. Unfortunately, we didn't get any 'in the moment' pics, as we were the only two there and we were throwing fake blood everywhere. Not ideal for handling digital cameras.

So! If you do actually take my advice and do this (I beg you, it's soooo worth it) you should let me know so I can give you TBiG points. If you post pictures, more TBiG points.
Benefit of TBiG points: get enough, I draw you summat.
Free art in exchange for shit-tons of fun.
So again: DO IT!

Have a rockin' day/night/whatever it is where you are
Ta!

>.> and finding the stuff to be Jareth is more difficult than I had expected.

So there's a huge Halloween party I'm going to this year that's hosted by a Doctor, so it's freaking...I don't even know...just very well funded...
This years theme is Heros and Villains, and originally, Chris and I were going to go as Merlin and Mad Madam Mim, and Lily'd be Archimedes. But since Chris and I are halfway between being together and divorce, I won't be going with him to the party, and therefor don't want to go as Mim.
So! I opted for the most awesome villain in the world! The Goblin King.

Two years ago, plain calf-high black boots were everywhere, and cheap at that. These days the only place I can find 'em are on the freakin' interweb, and they're super pricey XD >.O not to mention the cost of poets shirts...
The only piece I have for the costume is a potato >.>

Anyway...I'm done with my little frustrated rant...
^__^ have a nice day!

Zomg it was so amazing!

Ok. So.
Last night I waited in line for about...three-ish hours to see HP 6, and it was sooooo worth the wait XD
If you're a Potter freak and haven't seen it, disregard the whole burning of the Burrow, and go see it! I usually get a little peeved when they totally screw with things, but it was too awesome to dislike.
XD I'm probably going to be busting out a lot of Potter art soon...just giving you all the heads-up. '

So tired....

Ok, another update! yay!
we're all moved in, sort of, and we've gotten our internet up ^_^ so yay! now i'll be on as often as possible, even though i've been popping on pretty frequently. also, we've traded in our jeep and are now ridin' in a new pontiac! yay for safer cars! -.- i'm going to miss that jeep sooooooo bad.
ANYWAY
another fun tidbit! chris stabbed himself in the hand trying to separate two frozen turkey patties with a chef knife, because he knew how much i wanted a turkey burger. an ER trip, four stitches, two splints, and surgery later, he's wondering around doped up on lortab because he was too stubborn to put the darn patties in the microwave.
give him a pat on the back, cuz ima kick him. he'll need the support XD
so i'm done with my update.
have fun, folks!
